Many times, we encounter situations where we have saved a password in Chrome but can't remember what it is. The problem arises when the password is hidden behind asterisks or dots, making it impossible to see the actual characters.

Steps to Reveal a Hidden Password in Chrome:

1. Right-click on the password field and select 'Inspect'.
2. In the Elements tab that appears, find the line that starts with <input type='password'...>.
3. Double-click on 'password' within this line and change it to 'text'.
4. Press Enter to apply the change and close the Inspect window.
5. Your password should now be visible in plain text in the password field.
