How to Retrieve WiFi Password of Previously Connected Network after Change
Retrieving WiFi Password of a Previously Connected Network after Change
It's common to forget WiFi passwords, especially for networks we don't regularly use. If you were once connected to a network but cannot recall the password after it has been changed, there are a few methods you can try to retrieve it:
- Check Router Sticker: Some routers have the default WiFi password printed on a sticker at the back or bottom of the router. If the password hasn’t been changed, you may find it there.
- Use Previously Connected Devices: If you have a device that was previously connected to the WiFi network and still remembers the password, you can find it in the device's settings. For instance, on a Windows PC, you can navigate to Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks.
- Router Administration Page: Access your router's admin page through a web browser. You may need to enter a username and password (often found on the router itself) to log in. Once logged in, look for the WiFi settings or wireless security section to view or reset the password.
By trying these methods, you may be able to retrieve the WiFi password of a network you were once connected to, even after it has been changed.
