How to Find Saved Wi-Fi Passwords on Your Device

Many of us have a long list of saved Wi-Fi networks on our devices, but what if you forget the password for a network you need to reconnect to? Fortunately, there are ways to retrieve saved Wi-Fi passwords on both Windows and Mac devices.

On Windows Devices:

To view a saved Wi-Fi password on a Windows device, follow these steps:

1. Open the Control Panel
2. Go to Network and Sharing Center
3. Click on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to
4. Select Wireless Properties
5. Go to the Security tab
6. Check the box 'Show characters' to reveal the Wi-Fi password

On Mac Devices:

For Mac devices, retrieving a saved Wi-Fi password is slightly different:

1. Go to Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access
2. Search for the Wi-Fi network name you want the password for
3. Double-click on the network name
4. Check the box 'Show password'
