Removing Firmware Password on Mac
If you've set up a firmware password on your Mac but now need to remove it, follow these steps:
- Start your Mac in Recovery Mode: Restart your Mac and hold down Command + R until the Apple logo appears.
- Access Utility: Once in Recovery Mode, open Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
- Disable Security: Go to the Firmware Password Utility and select 'Turn Off Firmware Password.'
- Enter Firmware Password: You'll be prompted to enter your firmware password. Once done, select 'Turn Off Firmware Password.'
- Restart your Mac: Exit Disk Utility, restart your Mac, and the firmware password should now be removed.
