How to Password Protect a File in Google Drive

1. Open your Google Drive and locate the file you want to password protect.
2. Right-click on the file and select 'Share' from the dropdown menu.
3. In the sharing settings popup, enter the email address you want to share the file with (you can use your own email address if you want to keep it private).
4. Click on 'Advanced' at the bottom right corner of the sharing settings popup.
5. Next to the email address you entered, click on 'Change' under 'Who has access'.
6. Change the sharing settings to 'On - Anyone with the link' and click on 'Done'.

8. Copy the link that is generated and open a new tab in your browser.
9. Paste the link in the address bar and add '/preview' at the end of the URL.
10. Hit enter, and Google Drive will show a preview of the file.
11. At the top right corner of the preview, click on the three dots (more actions) and select 'Download'.
12. Before the file downloads, Google Drive will ask for a password. Enter a password of your choice and click on 'Encrypt and Download'.
