Editing a Password Protected Word Document
If you have a password-protected Word document that you need to edit, here are the steps to follow:
- Open the password-protected Word document by entering the password.
- Click on 'File' and then select 'Info'.
- Click on 'Protect Document'.
- Click on 'Encrypt with Password'.
- Delete the current password in the 'Encrypt Document' box and leave it blank. Click 'OK'.
- Save the document. The password protection will be removed.
- You can now edit the document freely.
Remember to set a new password for the document after you have finished editing it to maintain security.
