Disabling Master Password in Firefox
If you’ve set up a master password in Firefox for added security, but now want to disable it, the process is relatively simple. Here’s how you can remove the master password from your Firefox browser:
- Open your Firefox browser on your computer.
- Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of the browser.
- Click on 'Options' from the dropdown menu.
- In the left-hand side menu, select 'Privacy & Security'.
- Scroll down to the 'Logins and Passwords' section.
- Click on the 'Saved Logins' option.
- You will be prompted to enter your master password.
- After entering your master password, click on the 'Remove Master Password' button.
- Confirm the action in the prompt that appears.
By following these steps, you will successfully disable the master password in your Firefox browser. Remember that disabling the master password will make your saved passwords and login information more vulnerable, so only do this if you are certain about the security of your device.
